Mandatory Risk Management Orientation
Students are required to attend the Mandatory Risk Management Orientation and there are no exceptions! Orientations provide students with the opportunity to ask questions and prepare them for travel. Once accepted to a program, the Office of International Programs will notify students about these mandatory orientations. The Mandatory Risk Management Orientation covers important health, safety, and cultural adjustments for students, as well as the importance of enrollment and academic credits. Orientations also provide students an opportunity to meet faculty and students traveling abroad with them.
Students will also have a chance to attend Country Specific Orientations. These will be more in-depth meetings about the country the student chose for study abroad. These orientations will cover the course objectives and expectations as well as travel specifications such as where to meet in the airport, travel times, and what to pack for the location.
Dates and times of Pre-Departure Orientations will be announced each spring semester.
