Health Insurance

The Alamo Community Colleges District Office of International Programs' ultimate concern is the safety of our students abroad.   Making wise choices and planning will help you travel safely.  A little organization before your trip can help you be prepared and alleviate stress while you are traveling.

All Study Abroad participants are required to have medical insurance while studying abroad.  Students participating in a Faculty-Led Program fees include a mandatory, comprehensive insurance fee.  Students participating in Exchange or Affiliate Programs will pay a per day fee prior to departure for coverage during their program abroad.  The Office of International Programs will provide students Health Insurance information during the Mandatory Health and Safety Orientation.

Faculty and students will have 24-hour access to medical assistance for the duration of their time abroad.
