Faculty-Led Programs

Student enrolling in Faculty-Led Study Abroad Programs must have a 2.0 GPA and, 12 cumulative academic credits. The Alamo Community Colleges District expects study abroad participants to perform academically at standards commensurate with on-campus performance. This includes attending classes, taking exams, reading required materials, completing homework, etc.  as discussed in the course syllabus.  Student with a GPA that drops below a 2.0 before they study abroad will not be allowed to participate in the program.

Students enrolled in Faculty-Led programs are enrolled in Alamo Community Colleges District courses and will receive academic credit upon successfully completion of their study abroad program.  Courses will appear on their transcript as an Alamo Community Colleges District course. 

Exchange and Affiliate Programs 

Student enrolling in Exchange or Affiliate Programs must have a 2.5 GPA and, 12 cumulative academic credits. The Alamo Community Colleges District expects study abroad participants to perform academically at standards commensurate with on-campus performance. This includes attending classes, taking exams, reading required materials, completing homework, etc.  as discussed in the syllabus.  Student with a GPA that drops below a 2.0 before they study abroad will not be allowed to participate in the program.

Students enrolled in Exchange or Affiliate Programs will be required to contact the Office of International Programs – Study Abroad Coordinator to discuss program and academic course credit equivalency and process.   All students will receive academic credit for the course work completed abroad.
